I'm having trouble programming my new (used) Canbus Gateway into my 2006 Golf 2.0 tdi 4motion 140. It all started about 6 months ago when I fitted an aftermarket Android head unit (Erisin), since then I've been suffering from battery drain issues and after my second new battery I thought it was time to look into the problem a bit closer.

The large radiator fan runs even when the engine is cold, the Air Con is off, and the small fan never runs. I know theres a known problem with the MK4 Golf fans and a simple fix

Jul 7, 2014. #21. I have a similar problem, my air con doesn't feel anywhere near as cold as my last car. A VCDS scan shows the fault mentioned in this thread but that has only been happening since I messed around piggybacking my dashcam off of the aircon fuse. If the sensor isn't too expensive I will buy one and test.

The first sign that your air-con needs regassing is that the air being blown from the vents is not as cool as it used to be, or it doesn’t feel any different when the AC is switched off.
